“Sex on fire, that wasn’t even supposed to be a lyric,” insists drummer Nathan Followill. “That was a dummy lyric and we were going to go back in and refill it.”
But as Followill tells it, the producers tried to persuade the band to keep it.
“At first we were like, ‘No way. “Sex on Fire,” give me a break.’ We said, ‘As soon as we do that, the label will immediately want that to be the first single and we’ll wind up having to play that everywhere,’ and that’s exactly what happened.”

“[Tonight] will be the first show in America that we use our full-on setup that we use in the arenas in England,” he boasts with excitement.
